Scope & Content Contains the records for the Moland Cloverleaf 4-H. There are Secretary record books from 1945 to 1981 that provide information on the group's monthly meetings. Three scrapbooks are also part of the collection that document the club's activities through the collecting of newspaper clippings and photographs.
Admin/Biographical History The Moland Cloverleaf 4-H Club was established in 1937 breaking off from a larger 4-H Club in Glyndon. As Moland Township is just north of Glyndon most of the first members of the 4-H Club were part of the Glyndon 4-H Club which had a very large membership. They started the Moland group to give the kids from Moland more of a chance to participate. The activities of the Moland 4-H group were typical of any 4-H group such as community volunteering, and taking animals to show at fairs. One of the first things that the club did after their establishment was to create a 3/4 acre community park in Moland. Most years they would put on a yearly play and have a booth at the Clay County Fair and during World War 2 they would run rubber and paper drives to help with the war effort.
