Scope & Content The collection contains a log book that lists services rendered by Dr. Howard.
Admin/Biographical History Dr. Lewis Lowe came to Glyndon Minnesota in 1906 it was there where he served as town doctor serving house calls in a “10 to 15 mile radius in all directions except due west.” Dr. Lowe and his wife had two sons Percy and Howard. Howard wrote a biography in 1980 of the family's experience in the Glyndon for the town's centennial. Howard describes his father as someone who took a very active role in his patients lives even going as far as to bring them to Rochester by train to confer with William and Charles Mayo when a diagnoses was truly vexing. Dr. Lowe ran the country practice until 1926 when his him and his wife decided that the physical toll was a little too much and he retired.
