Scope & Content This collection spans the years of World War 2 in 1945-1946 in in the U.S. in various stations, to Tokyo, Japan. This collection is mainly compromised of photographs and letters he sent home to his friends and family.
Admin/Biographical History This collection centers on Norris Grefsrud, a man who was in World War 2. Photographs of Australian soldiers. There are photographs of soldiers and ships, during the war years. A few photographs of his friends. Norris Grefsrud takes pictures of a fire, and a few places he travels to. Norris was in charge of the mixers in his line of work in the military while in the army. A lot of time was spent in Tokyo, Japan during the war.
There are also letters addressed to Thelma, Vernon, Myrtle, his parents, Earl his brother, Lorraine, Ardell. Some of his letters are censored, they start from when he leaves, and when he is still in the states from his barracks to Fort Snelling, to where he is stationed in Missouri, to Texas, then abroad in Japan.
