Scope & Content The collection contains items from the life of Tekla Askegaard mostly focusing on her time after graduating from college and living in Chicago. Included is a small collection of ephemera that displays her love of the theater as well as a small collection of letters written to her from people back home in Comstock, and in Fargo.
Admin/Biographical History Tekla Askegaard was a Comstock native and graduate of the Dakota Conservancy of Music. She later moved to Chicago where she worked as an organist in a Baptist Church. Her love of the theater can be seen through the programs that are part of the collection of shows that she went to while living in Chicago and visiting New York City.
