The collection consists of the original invitation to the inauguration that was sent to the Dosland's in 1953. There is also a newspaper article from the Fargo Forum describing the dress that Beatrice Dosland (Mrs. G.L. Dosland) wore to the ceremony.

Dosland was a lawyer in Clay County and served as chairman of the Clay County Republican Committee during Dwight Eisenhower's campaign and subsequent election in the early 1950's. G.L. Dosland was the father of William Dosland who served as a Minnesota State Senator.|
