Admin/Biographical History Bertha McElWee was born in Clay County and was one of the charter members of Lutheran Ladies Aid at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. She spent most of her career as a teacher in Livona Michigan though she did spend sometime teaching in Ada and Rothsay in Minnesota.
