Scope & Content Contains records relating to the life of Rose E. Johnson. The collection touches on her home life living on a farm in Moland Township in Clay County through the inclusion of some financial records and correspondence. The collection also touches on her career as an elementary school teacher in northern clay county through the inclusion of programs from the Christmas Programs that she would lead as well as some photographs of her students State Fair winning booth in the 1950's.
Admin/Biographical History Rose E. Johnson was born in North Dakota in 1907. She attended college in Dickinson North Dakota, and then the teaching college in Moorhead Minnesota. She had a 42 year teaching career between schools in North Dakota and in Glyndon Minnesota finally retiring in 1973. After retirement she spent a lot of her time volunteering with local hospitals St. Angsar and Heartland. Rose Johnson passed away in 2005 at the age of 98.
