Scope & Content The School District #41 Collection contains a small amount of records relating to the History of the Dale School district, including a record book from the districts clerk’s office as well as correspondence that was sent to A.L. Jelsing who, along with many other jobs in local government, served as the school district’s clerk.
Admin/Biographical History School District #41 was located in Dale, Minnesota which is a ghost town that existed within section 34 of Highland Grove Township in Clay County Minnesota. School district #41 dissolved in 1955 when it merged with the Hawley and Lake Park district. The town of Dale itself just lasted until 1971 when the local post office closed down.
