Scope & Content The collection consists of photocopies of material from the personal collection of Dewey Berquist relating to his history and his family's history. There is a photo copy of a family album full of Berquist family pictures, a contact sheet and copy negatives of single photographs that were copied for the collection.

The photos are of the Lager and Albrecht family from their time in Sweden and Minnesota. There are documents relating to the family moving and settling in Minnesota e.g. Naturalization documents and a grain elevator share. The collection is from around 1885 to about 1965.
Admin/Biographical History Dewey Berquist is a Moorhead native and got his start in the Media as a Disc Jockey for KVOX radio. He was probably best known for being the local weatherman for WDAY-TV in Fargo, North Dakota from 1957 until his retirement in 1985. He was the weatherman when the first television weather radar came to Fargo in 1971, color weather radar in 1978, and national weather radar in 1981.
