Scope & Content Dr. Ed Humphrey was mayor of Moorhead during the visit to the area undertaken by King Olav and Princess Martha of Norway in 1939. As mayor Dr. Humphrey was intimately involved with the preparation for the visit even going as far as holding a party at his Park Rapids lake home for other volunteers who helped plan the event.
